Expense Tracker Without Sign-Up

No account. No email. No password. Open the app and start logging. The only finance app that respects your time and your privacy.

Every other expense app wants your data first

You search for an expense tracker, pick one with a 4.5-star rating, hit install — and the first screen demands your email. Then a password. Then a phone number for "recovery." Then it asks you to link a bank account. By the time you can actually log a coffee, you've handed over a profile that gets sold, breached, or quietly used to train someone's recommendation model.

The reason every expense app does this isn't because they need to. It's because they want a database row tied to your identity. That's how they monetize you — through credit-card affiliate offers, premium upsells, or selling aggregate data. The "free" version is bait.

Expensly is built differently. There is no server holding your data, so there is no account to create. The trade-off is that your data lives on your phone instead of in the cloud — which, for most people, is exactly what they wanted in the first place.

Three steps to your first logged expense

1. Download

Free from the App Store. About 25 MB. No demographic survey, no phone number, no captcha.

2. Open

The app launches straight to the home screen. No splash funnel, no "create account" wall, no email verification.

3. Log

Tap +, enter the amount, pick a category, hit save. Done in under 5 seconds. Your first expense is tracked.

All the things Expensly never asks for

No email address. No password. No phone number. No date of birth. No "what's your monthly income" survey. No bank login. No social sign-in. No two-factor verification text. No marketing opt-in checkbox you have to uncheck. No "we sent you a confirmation link" hoop. No premium-tier paywall blocking your second category.

The privacy story is the same. Because we don't collect any of that, we can't lose any of it. There's no breach risk, no marketing list to leak onto, and no third-party data broker to sell your spending patterns to. The app simply does not have the data to misuse.

Common questions

Will Expensly ever require an account?

No. The no-account model is the product. If we ever offered cloud sync as an opt-in, it would never be required.

How do I move my data to a new phone?

Use Expensly's CSV export, or rely on iCloud device backup, which restores app data automatically when you set up a new iPhone with the same Apple ID.

Is my data encrypted?

Yes. iOS encrypts the app's local storage by default when you have a device passcode set. There's no separate cloud database to worry about.

Can I share data between devices?

Not at this time. Cross-device sync would require an account and a server, which is the trade-off we deliberately don't make. CSV export covers most cross-device needs.

No sign-up. No email.
No excuses.

Free download. Open the app. Log your first expense in under a minute.
